We specialise in short, last-minute stays - that's how the discounts work. Tonight is for same-day booking. Tomorrow+ lets you plan ahead and book when the listing goes live at 1 PM on your arrival day. Both use our discount curve: 75% off night 1, 50% off night 2, 25% off night 3.

Night 1 is 75% off the host's normal nightly rate. Night 2 is 50% off. Night 3 is 25% off (with minimums of $39, $59, and $79). Plus the host's cleaning fee. That's it. Savings are compared to what you'd actually pay on Airbnb including their ~14% guest fee. Founding members earn $150 credit per referral when they book — no cap. GapNights Black members get 10% off.

No. You see the discounted nightly rate, plus the host's cleaning fee and card processing (2.9% + 30c) at checkout. GapNights Black members pay 0% processing. There is no separate service fee from GapNights - ever.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers. You pay at the time of booking and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Because stays are last-minute, cancellation windows are limited. The applicable cancellation policy is always shown clearly before you confirm your booking. Refunds, if applicable, are processed within 5-10 business days.

Earn $150 credit per referral when they book their first night — no cap. Everyone who joins the waitlist before launch is a founding member — completely free, no catch. This perk disappears at launch and won't be offered again.

GapNights Black ($119/yr at launch) gives you 10% off every booking, 0% card fees on all stays, and an early selection window to book before other members. Invite 3 friends to the waitlist and you unlock GapNights Black free for 12 months. You can always stay on the free Founding Member tier at no cost.

Every property on GapNights is an existing short-term rental already live on Airbnb. They have reviews, photos, and host track records. We sync calendars directly - these are real places with real availability.

Yes - before your first booking you verify with a government-issued ID (passport or driver's licence). The document is processed securely and never stored. This protects hosts and keeps the community accountable.

Max 2 adults per booking, no visitors, no parties (zero tolerance), quiet hours, and accountability for damage. Every guest agrees to these rules before booking. This keeps the experience consistent and properties protected.

Yes. Payment data is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Identity documents are analysed and discarded - not stored. We comply with the NZ Privacy Act 2020.

The host plan is $99 per year per listing, deducted from your first GapNights booking payout - no upfront payment. After that, every dollar you earn from that listing for the rest of the year is yours. No commission, no per-booking fee.

You connect your Airbnb calendar via iCal. GapNights syncs daily at 1 PM and only lists nights that are available - we never overwrite or block your calendar. You set your cleaning fee; pricing is calculated from your Airbnb nightly rate.

Every guest is ID-verified before their first booking. All stays are capped at max 2 adults, no visitors, no parties. These rules are locked - guests can't opt out. Hosts can offer up to 3 gap nights per month per listing.

Payouts are daily. The $99 annual fee is deducted from your first booking payout - no upfront payment required. After that, you keep everything you earn.
